We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Correctional Officers.
As a Correctional Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our correctional facility.
This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
Duties:
- Maintain security within the correctional facility by conducting regular patrols and monitoring CCTV systems - Conduct searches of inmates, cells, and common areas to prevent the introduction of contraband - Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of both staff and inmates - Respond to emergencies, including fights, medical incidents, and fires, following established protocols - Complete accurate and detailed reports regarding incidents, inmate behavior, and any other relevant information - Assist in the transportation of inmates within the facility or to external appointments as required - Conduct inmate counts at designated times to ensure accurate population management
Experience:
- Prior experience in a military or law enforcement setting is highly desirable - Possession of a valid certification in corrections or related field is preferred - Familiarity with CCTV systems and report writing is an asset - Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle difficult situations - Knowledge of CPR and first aid procedures is beneficial
